BitTorrent has officially announced on its Twitter channel and its official blog that it is now part of the TRON ecosystem. The two companies are to join forces to build the future of the decentralized Internet.
The company’s team stated that it is excited to announce that TRON has officially closed the acquisition. The blog announcement also specifies that, at the current time, BitTorrent has more than 100 million active users worldwide and that their Google Play application is one of the best rated within the respective store.
BitTorrent is set to continue its work from Tron’s new San Francisco office, the center of operations for the company’s global market expansion, as stated on the blog announcement: “BitTorrent will continue operating from TRON’s new San Francisco location, which is now the center of operations for the company’s global market expansion. The division will provide robust support for TRON’s global business development and partnerships while pursuing its vision for the world’s largest decentralized ecosystem.”

In light of these latest happenings, BitTorrent further emphasized the point that they will continue to provide high-quality services for over 100 million users around the world.
