Ethereum Co-founder Joe Lubin Says Radical Changes Are Coming

The co-creator of Ethereum – the world’s 2nd largest digital coin by market capitalization – is one of the biggest crypto market’s bulls. Unlike other Bitcoin bulls like venture capitalist Tim Draper and Tom Lee, Lubin is not too much enthusiastic about cryptocurrency prices, but rather the technology that underpins it.

In an interview with the German news agency T3N, Lubin said that Ethereum would revolutionize the internet. The ConsenSys founder believes distributed ledger and decentralization can help spur innovation across all levels of society and the economy.

He says the current web places a lot of emphasis on tech and content providers. It rarely focuses on the consumer. However, blockchain technology has the potential to redefine the future of the internet.

According to Lubin, the blockchain is still in its infancy, and it’s too early to start talking about implementing its applications. Even so, he maintains that the future of the technology looks very promising.

Lubin explains:

“Ethereum is far in the lead as a viable candidate for web 3.0 largely because of its interoperable and radically decentralized nature. It may be a few years before our ecosystem achieves profound interoperability and decentralization in the base and higher layers.”

But that is okay. We can grow into the radical future we imagine as we take care of adoption, use case exploration, user interface, and user experience definition – all of which will keep us busy for years.”

Many experts consider blockchain as the next big thing after the internet. It took some time until it became functional. When the internet first appeared, one had to be a tech-savvy to be able to use it. Today, people no longer have to worry about this, because technology has allowed everyone to access the internet through data tariffs on cell phones.

Whether blockchain will change the internet remains to be seen.
