Former US President Bill Clinton Joins Ripple’s Swell Conference Today as Keynote Speaker

Ripple’s Swell Conference will be held for two days starting from today and former US President Bill Clinton will be the keynote speaker. Some of the world’s experts in technology, finance and politics have also been invited to discuss how to use Blockchain, Ripple, and cryptocurrencies in general. Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, will give a keynote address at the Ripple-Swell conference, as well as participate in a question and answer (Q & A) round during the meeting. A few days ago, Ripple stated in the press release that President Clinton has helped spur a period of extreme growth and Internet adoption and has helped overcome the digital divide.

At a time when ground-breaking technology and regulation were often on a collision course, president Clinton helped initiate a period of extreme growth and adoption of the internet and shape what it is today. He has also launched programs that bridged the digital divide and brought new technologies to underserved communities around the world.

The Q $ A session

The Q & A session, which also includes Clinton, will be chaired by Gene Sperling, a member of the Ripple Board of Directors. Sperling, who joined Ripple in 2015, previously worked as a consultant and director of the National Economic Council with Presidents Clinton and Obama. Other biggest names that will grace the event include Honorable Sunil Sabharwal from the IMF, Pittman, former Chief Product Officer of eBay, Ed Metzger from Banco Santander, Tokunboh Ishmael from Alitheia Capital and Collin Dinn from Siam Commercial Bank. This year's Swell Conference will be held from October 1 (which is today) to October 2, 2018, in San Francisco, California, the headquarters of Ripple. This year's Swell conference will also feature financial services companies using blockchain technology. According Ripple’s recent press releases, participants will learn about new market opportunities in remittances, e-commerce and marketplaces, and various regulatory frameworks for the regulation of digital assets in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
