Tron CEO Plans to Launch $20 Million Airdrops & Tesla Giveaway

TRON

The CEO and founder of Tron (TRX), Justin Sun, has reportedly announced that he intends to airdrop $20 million in cash and give away a free Tesla car.

Justin Sun has asked his almost 1 million Twitter followers to retweet his post about Tron’s “global appreciation campaign,” stating that one randomly selected follower will receive a Tesla by March 27th, 2019. The TRON founder also said that he “may decide” to “give away more” in free airdrops with actual cash.

According to Sun’s Twitter post (which currently has more than 28,000 retweets), Tron’s appreciation campaign was launched to celebrate the release of its BitTorrent token (BTT) and their new collaboration with Tether Ltd. – which will result in the creation of a USDT stablecoin based on the Tron network.

Those interested in participating in Tron’s global appreciation campaign have to follow and retweet Sun’s post on Twitter. It is yet unknown how and to how many users will Tron’s “free cash airdrop” be distributed. More details will probably be offered after a lucky retweeter wins the car prize.

In recent news, the Tron blockchain network now has more than 2 million mainnet users. Tron’s mainnet was launched in late May 2018, just 249 ago. Although dApp usage is still at low levels, with over 90% (on average) of distributed applications not having any transactions in the past month, there are a few Tron-based dApps that have acquired a growing userbase.

TronBet is one of such dapps. TronBet is a decentralized dApp for gambling which was created on the Tron network, recording a weekly betting volume of $41 million this month. It has been noted that TronBet’s users had been betting large sums to profits of the app’s huge daily profits – which were reportedly in a range of $75,000 to $150,000 per day.
