Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak, has joined a blockchain technology. The Apple’s co-founder has recently announced that he has joined EQUI Global, a venture capital fund built using blockchain technology,

Wozniak joined EQUI Global

Based on a recent report, Wozniak made it known that he has always been a fan of new innovation and that he does receive pitches from budding entrepreneur on a regular basis. He also noted that this will mark the first time he will be joining a company since leaving Apple.

On why he has decided to join EQUI Global, Wozniak made it known that he is of the strong notion that the company will be a game changer and that he believes that blockchain technology has the power to modify and improve businesses.

According to Apple’s co-founder, EQUI Global is currently observing the actions of about 20 different companies. Once the official launching of the project gets announced, few of these twenty companies will be selected for mentored by EQUI Global’s board of social entrepreneurs.

Wozniak further made it known that:

“We are the teachers and I believe in that so strongly because Apple was strongly mentored. The enjoyment we had, the passion, starting the company, the excitement, it’s the most exciting thing,”

Founders of EQUI Global

In a statement from Wozniak,
Baroness Michelle Mone and Douglas Barrowman, both EQUI Global’s co-founders, were greatly praised by him for their previous actions towards the advancement of blockchain technology adoption through supporting new innovations.

The duo was said to be behind the now-defunct EQUICapital ICO. The ICO was only able to raise about $7 million, comparing this to the projected amount of $80,000,000, the ICO was tagged as a failed one. This led to the creation of EQUI Global, and now the partnering of Wozniak.

The joining of Apple’s co-founder is expected to help drive more attention to the company.
