Bizkey — a digital currency mobile payment solution provider, has decided to mark the 10th year anniversary of cryptocurrency through the launch of a program titled ‘Token Day’. The program is expected to last until the 18th of this month.

Token Day

The Token day event will be taking place in the Chinatown area of Singapore and about 30 different business located in the area will accept payment for goods and service using cryptocurrencies. Example include Hotel 1887, SK Jewellery, and Koryo Mart. Bizkey has described this as a way through which the general public becomes familiar with cryptocurrency in a retail setting.

The various business participating in the events will be making use of the Bizkey powered intelligent blockchain point-of-sale (POS) to receive all kinds of cryptos in exchange for their goods and services. The Bizkey POS has been customised to accept payment through all major cryptos such as, Aelf coin (ELF), Zilliqa coin (ZIL) Ethereum (ETH), and Binance Coin (BNB).

Pertaining to the event, the Head of Operations in Hotel 1887, Jonathan S, stated that:

“We want to expand our payment options and cater to the needs of different customers, including cryptocurrency holders. Tourists can also enjoy the benefit of cryptocurrency payment as it allows for hassle-free, cross-border payments with low transaction fees.”

The aim of the Token Day Event

Bizkey has pointed out that its main agenda of hosting the program, is to help showcase how convenient it is for a retail outlet to start accepting cryptos, using the BizKey POS.

Co-founder and CEO of Bizkey, Ken Huang also stated that:

“Although cryptocurrency was first invented 10 years ago, very few people in the world have the chance to actually use it to buy products and services. We want to change this through Token Day, which will be the first time that retailers in Singapore will accept cryptocurrency as payment, on such a large scale.”
