CoinMarketCap Launches Mobile App For Android Users

The number one cryptocurrency data provider— CoinMarketCap, has recently announced the launch of its official mobile app for the Android OS.

Apple iOS app Revamped, New Android Launched

The data provider has also revamped its Apple iOS app to add some extra features to it. According to the company’s announcement, the following features have been added to the mobile apps:

  • Portfolio Tracking
  • Candlestick Charts
  • Side-by-side Cryptocurrency Comparisons,
  • Well As Price Alerts
  • User Accounts

The data provider also made it known that these features, are not currently available on its official website.

CoinMarketCap’s global head of marketing, Carylyne Chan has also made some statements regarding the recent launch of the app.

Chan stated that:

“We believe that our users will like the new style and the features we’ve added to these apps, and we’ll continue to update the app regularly based on the feedback we receive,”

Anyone interested in using app will have to download the app and sign up for a CoinMarketCap account. Upon verifying the account, the users will be able to save their portfolios or watchlists. Later on, the users of the app will be able to sync with the website.

Also, the newly developed and upgrade mobile apps reportedly has a section for crypto “gainers” and “losers,” as well as curated industry news.
The CoinMarketCap API product which was launched last year is said to be the source of data provided by the apps.

CoinMarketCap Launches Two New Indices

CoinMarketCap has been launching a lot of products in recent times, the company recently announced the launch of two benchmark indices covering the top 200 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. One of the indices has bitcoin (BTC) and the exempted from the other one. The indices will use financial data feeds from Thomson Reuters Eikon (Refinitiv),
Nasdaq Global Index Data Service (GIDS), Germany’s Börse Stuttgart, and Bloomberg Terminal, and finally that of the firm itself.
