There has been bad blood between members of the Bitcoin Cash community for some time now. The conflict between two groups led to the split of Bitcoin Cash, which resulted in the value of the coin plummeting by nearly 50 percent.
Recently, one of the controversial figures in the Bitcoin Cash community Craig Wright gave his two cents on various cryptocurrencies. Perhaps he did that to stir another controversy or to legitimize his BCH SV.
According to Craig, the second and the third largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization (XRP and ETH) are nothing but useless. The controversial Australian computer scientist, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, claimed that the Ethereum platform has limited use cases. He said the death of ETH and XRP is inevitable.
Everyone knows Ethereum is the number one blockchain platform for running dApps. However, the platform is facing one of the worst scaling issues in cryptocurrency history. Even Nick Szabo, the guy who proposed the idea of smart contracts in 1996, said Ethereum is headed either to a disaster or a huge bureaucracy.
Ripple (XRP) is a scam
After launching a scathing attack on Ethereum, Wright also talked about Ripple. He said in a tweet.
“XRP is going to be found to be both a security and in violation of Section 5 of the Securities Act of 1933. The Act mandates the registration of securities with the SEC. These must be offered exclusively on a registered exchange.”
Wright added that Ripple XRP is nothing but a scam. “XRP is the biggest scam in the space. I look forward to when this sham offer is revoked. This idea of issuing non-registered securities and selling to noobs who want to get rich without working is nothing new and neither will be the take-down.”
He went ahead to say that all virtual coins in circulation, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ripple (XRP) and Ethereum (ETH), should be banned because they are nothing less than securities.
