A member of Monero’s Core Team – Riccardo Spagni spoke in a recent episode of Whatbitcoindid on the private nature of Monero. The interview covered a large number of topics, including the similarities between Monero and Bitcoin, as well as the importance of confidentiality for digital currencies.

Riccardo talked about why he chose Monero. He claimed that one of the main factors that attracted him in the digital currency was that Monero was not based on Bitcoin code. He said that for this reason alone he gave digital money a “second look”.

Riccardo added that Monero [XMR] was “new” even though the code for the blockchain project was not “very mature code”. Riccardo added that the Blockchain project has “done something concrete” to protect privacy and pushed the barrier of privacy into the future.

The main member of the Monero team also explained how part of the Bitcoin Maximalist Community (BTC) does not satisfy all altcoins, why they call it shitcoins, except XMR. He said the reason was that everyone involved with Bitcoin and Monero had similar problems in the initial stages.

According to Riccardo, all those who were involved in Monero previously had a portfolio command line to manage the extraction processor, and all that database stored in RAM was of 4 to 5 gigabytes for the first six months.

With all the bad things that have suffered over the years, Monero is still the best digital currency focused on privacy in the area of crypto space and digital currency works quite well over the years.
