Robinhood App is Now Offering Support for a Famous Cryptocurrency

Californian stock trading platform Robinhood has announced the sixth crypto asset supported by its no-fee cryptocurrency exchange Robinhood App.

Robinhood App is thrilled to announce that it is now offering support for Ethereum Classic, giving US citizens the opportunity to store ETC together with their equity funds.

The news comes less than a week after the company announced its expansion into a new U.S. Georgia and three weeks after Robinhood has listed Dogecoin (DOGE) on its no-commission crypto exchange Robinhood App. The announcement was made via the Robinhood website:

Starting today, you can invest in Dogecoin on Robinhood Crypto, commission-free. With last week’s announcement of Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash, you can now invest in five different cryptocurrencies he Robinhood.”

Regarding the expansion to Georgia, Robinhood CEO Baiju Bhatt explained earlier this year that:

I think sovereign nations are going to have cryptocurrencies as their default currencies at some point. I think this is largely inevitable, whether that happens next year or in 15 years I don’t know but I’m almost 100% convinced that’s going to happen.”

Availability

Robinhood App was initially available only in four states. Once it was able to obtain the money transmitter licenses, the no-fee cryptocurrency exchange managed to expand in other 15 U.S. states. As written on the website, the 19 U.S. States are: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, Wisconsin plus latest added Georgia.

Following the diversification of the cryptocurrency portfolio, Robinhood App allows U.S. users store and trade Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Ethereum Classic (ETC).

According to CoinMarketCap data, Ethereum Classic (ETC) has a market capitalization of $2,005,076,448 and is traded at $19.35, up 10.95%.
