The Tron (TRX) Sun Network TestNet is Set for Release

Sun Network

Justin Sun, the CEO and founder of the Tron Foundation has recently announced that the highly anticipated Sun Network testnet will be released on 30th May 2019.

The Sun Network Will Help Improve the Tron Network

Being an additional layer of Decentralized architecture, the Sun Network will help to improve the Tron Network’s transaction capacity and overall scalability.

This additional layer is named after the CEO himself, Justin Sun.
Sun announced the launch date of the protocol via a tweet which reads:

# SUNNetwork is almost here  #Dappsidechains, cross-chain infrastructure and some other expansion projects are coming! #SUNNetwork will further expand the overall capacity of# TRONnetwork, improve the overall TPS and smart contract execution efficiency of #TRON. Stay tuned!

The network protocol is expected to get rolled out in three phases.

The First Phase: TestNet

In this phase, off-chain confirmation of the sidechain smart-contracts which has been configured to unlock the unlimited transaction ability of Tron will commence.  Once this is completed it will become clear that the Tron Network could actually handle a large volume of transactions on DApps like BitTorrent at an incredible speed.

Second Phase: Mainnet Launch

Here the cross-chain infrastructure, dapp sidechains and some other expansion products will be integrated. The Sun Network’s mainnet launch is expected to take place on 10th August 2019. Once launched, active participation from the Tron community is expected. This will help hasten the development of the decentralized extension network.

The Sun Network will is being built as “an ecosystem which will interact with the Tron Network to enhance its capabilities and reduce the bottlenecks of implementing new protocols on the chains.”

Third Phase: Optimization

In this phase, the new network side chains and the network’s overall performance with analysed. Once analysed, the deployment of side chains will be facilitated. The optimisation at this stage, will come as an update to the network. It will also help address the issues of run time and make the network more accessible.
