Justin Sun, Founder and CEO of the Tron Foundation, announced today that Tron, the eleventh largest cryptocurrency market, defeated Ethereum on Oct. 18 for the first time in daily trading. Tron beat Ethereum with 33,563 additional transactions. Sun announced on Twitter:
“This is the first time that #TRON # has exceeded Eutereum in daily trading #TRX 599354 against # ETH 565791 on October 18. This is just the beginning! $ TRX”
In addition, Tron continued to outperform Ethereum daily trading the next day, October 19th. Tron recorded 629,329 transactions yesterday, while Ethereum recorded only 601,119 transactions. This means that Tron has outperformed Ethereum with more than 28,210 transactions.
Ethereum has always been Tron’s main competitor. The Foundation has always prided itself on beating the second largest cryptocurrency in the world. Recently, Sun stated that Tron’s network would be 200 times faster than Ethereum’s and that it could process 2,000 transactions per second, as opposed to the 25 Ethereum transactions.
In addition, Tron Virtual Machine [TVM] is fully compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine [EVM] and developers can change EVM to TVM “almost free”. TVM’s development tools are similar to those of Ethereum. This includes TronWeb, which corresponds to Web3.js of Ethreum; TRONLink, similar to Ethereum Metamask; TronTrufle, similar to Ethereum Truffle, and Tron Remix is the Tron version of Remix.
At the launch of the Tron virtual machine, Sun announced that the Tron Foundation would reach the Loom network, the next-generation blockchain application platform for Ethereum. Loom Network provides developers with an easy-to-use API interface. Tron wants to provide developers with a convenient way to develop an app on their network.
