CoinMarketCap

Big news from CoinMarketCap, as the popular crypto data platform recently announced on Twitter a new, updated, “professional” API.

According to the official announcement on the platform’s blog section, this new API will “give developers and funds the ability to use our aggregated data in product offerings, providing price, market capitalization, conversions, and trading pair data that CoinMarketCap aggregates from hundreds of exchanges every minute.”

The announcement continues with Brandon Chez, the founder of CoinMarketCap, stating the following: “As part of our mission to continue growing the cryptocurrency sector with our partners, our professional API will ensure that the CoinMarketCap data that users know and trust can be integrated into every application. Our API comes with a best-in-class developer dashboard that will help every developer – from hobbyist to large-scale cryptocurrency product teams – make the most of our data.”

The new API is now available at three tiers, with costs starting at $79 and going all the way up to $699.

Other noteworthy features

Besides the highly anticipated API, the platform has also added a few very useful features. Users can now get accurate data from derivate markets, as well as benefit from a daily newsletter, an updated iOS app, and a new exchange ranking system.

In regards to the iOS app update, the announcement describes that it now includes support for currency conversion for improved user experience. This means that users can now convert between 32 fiat and five cryptocurrencies on the app, just like in the case of the website.

Career opportunities at CoinMarketCap

It seems that CoinMarketCap is continuing its expansion as various new careers opportunities have been announced. “As our new product releases show, we are constantly updating so that we can help to grow adoption of cryptocurrency. If you also believe in what we want to achieve, we look forward to having you join our decentralized team around the world,” the founder added.
