Crypto ATMs

New reports suggest that the global number of crypto ATMs installed around the world has already surpassed the 6,000-mark. If this number is anything to go by, this is an increase of more than 50% since the beginning of 2019. The United States is so far leading other countries with close to 4,000 crypto ATMs.

Canada and the United Kingdom come in second and third positions, respectively. If you are interested in getting into this line of business, you should note that there are currently several manufacturers providing the crypto ATMs.

Number of Global Crypto ATMs Stands at 6,007

According to Coinatmradar:

“The number of cryptocurrencies automated teller machines (ATMs) installed worldwide has grown substantially over the years.”

By November 25, there were 6,007 cryptocurrency ATMs already in place across the world. This number is expected to continue increasing as new machines are installed with each passing day. The more than 6,000 ATMs are located in 75 countries. The Coinatmradar report notes that this signifies a 46% increase, given that there were only 4,113 machines in place by the start of 2019.

Other Service Providers

In addition to the crypto ATMs, the website further noted that there are other 148,223 such services already in place. These services are meant to make it easier for users to buy and sell digital assets. Some of the services listed by the website include the current ATMs operated by traditional banks, mobile payment terminals, kiosks, and retail chains.

For this particular category, BitQuick managed to top the list, as its services are available in more than 106,649 locations. Its closest rival is Bitnovo Teller that comes in second place with 8,809 locations. BitQuick was formerly owned and operated by a Boost VC company, while Bitnovo Teller is a Spanish-based digital assets company.

According to the Bitnovo Teller Website:

“We currently have and operate 39,311 Bitnovo points of sale. Since we launched our services, we have managed to successfully facilitate 670,761 transactions.

The firm was able to launch a Bitsa prepaid Visa card earlier this year.
