Summary

  • Ouinex's Fair Execution Engine separates retail orders from institutional liquidity providers, preventing algorithms from querying pending retail positions or targeting stop-loss levels.
  • The platform combines crypto instruments with stock indices, commodities, forex, and equities through a single interface supporting up to 500x leverage.
  • Ouinex has excluded venture capital from its token allocation entirely, distributing OUIX through active trading participation rather than institutional pre-sale mechanics.
  • The company has raised over $9 million through community and retail investor rounds, with zero VC capital involved.

Crypto trading infrastructure has a structural problem that most platforms have not addressed. The central limit order book model that most exchanges use works reasonably well in traditional finance because retail orders typically pass through intermediary layers before reaching the matching engine. In crypto, those layers do not exist. Retail accounts and institutional algorithms compete directly on the same book.

"If I am an institution with twenty traders working around the clock and a trading infrastructure worth millions of dollars, and I am trading against a retail participant checking their phone on a coffee shop connection, the outcome of that match is not a mystery," Ouinex CEO Ilies Larbi said. "It is a little like being a small fish sharing a pool with sharks."

The stop-loss hunting problem

The most direct consequence of a transparent public order book is stop-loss hunting. Pending stop-loss positions are visible to anyone querying the book. An algorithm with sufficient capital can push price into a stop-loss cluster, trigger the exits, capture the liquidity, and reverse. The retail participant experiences this as ordinary volatility. The mechanism is something else.

The subtler version is order flow prediction. Institutional participants can map where retail positions are concentrated and structure their own execution around that information. By the time a retail order reaches execution, the market has already adjusted around it.

Neither problem is solvable at the user level. The fix has to happen at the infrastructure layer.

How Ouinex addresses it

Ouinex keeps retail orders on internal servers and sends them to execution only when price actually reaches the relevant level. Institutional participants on the platform are permitted to provide liquidity. They are not permitted to access the order book or query pending retail positions.

"We built a separation between retail clients and institutions," Larbi explained. "Institutions can only make markets. They have no access to stop-losses or limit orders because everything sits on our servers until the market triggers those levels."

The practical result is that liquidation hunting becomes architecturally impossible on the platform. There is nothing external to hunt.

Why traditional instruments alongside crypto

A trader monitoring macro conditions does not want to close crypto positions, wire funds to a separate brokerage, wait for settlement, and then take a traditional market position. By the time that process completes, the opportunity has often passed.

Beyond convenience, liquidity quality matters. Traditional financial instruments trade in markets roughly twenty times more liquid than crypto perpetuals, and execution costs are meaningfully lower. Ouinex offers stock indices, commodities, foreign exchange, and equities alongside crypto through a single interface.

"When you trade traditional instruments on our platform, you are accessing markets that are twenty times more liquid at approximately one-seventh of the cost of crypto perpetuals," Larbi noted.

Token structure without venture capital

Ouinex also restructured its token distribution to avoid the standard institutional dump dynamic.

"The typical pattern is straightforward," Larbi said. "An exchange gets an allocation. A VC fund gets an allocation. The project spends on marketing. Retail buys in. When price rises, the institutional holders exit. Retail holds the bag. That is the reality behind most token launches."

Ouinex has no venture capital allocations in its token distribution. OUIX is distributed through active trading participation on the platform. The people who hold it are the people actually using the product.

Because Ouinex lists its own token internally, it avoided the standard requirement to hand pre-minted supply to a third-party exchange as a listing fee. The company is fully accountable for the token's performance because it cannot transfer that accountability elsewhere.

The platform has raised over $9 million through community and retail investor rounds, establishing more than 5,000 community investors with no VC capital involved.

Ouinex is a multi-asset trading platform available at ouinex.com.
